GIFT HER A PAD A Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Campaign.
Promoting behavioral change is the first step to better health. The Gift Her a Pad campaign is an ongoing, awareness building compaign designed to spread information on proper menstrual hygiene practices and provide sanitary products toadolescent girl and women in low income communities. Since commencement on August 10 2022, We have distributed over 5000 sanitery pads to girls and women at Durumi IDP camp in Dogon Gada community in FCT, Abuja.

On December 25, 2021, We celebrated Christmas with Internally displaced children living in IDP camps away from their homes. We sang and danced with the children and also donated food items and clothes.

Parents Are The Primary Gatekeepers Of Their Children’s Health. The Behavior Of Parents Especially Mothers Affects Their Children’s Health. Hence, we took the opportunity to educate the staff of BIRS about chronic illnesses like High Blood Pressure (Hypertension) and Diabetes Mellitus both of which have very high mortality and morbidity rates. Research finds that children whose parents have specific health problems or behaviors are more likely to have the same health problems. Also, the absence of a parent due to sickness or death affects the whole family especially younger children.
